Hi all, I'm still creating cards, etc, but have also been teaching Crochet and Knitting at a local Michael's Store.  I was finally able to get back into my blog, and hope to update it soon with more paper projects, as well as some of the projects I've been working on with my crochet and knitting.

Star Book Project from Club Scrap

I've been a long time member of Club Scrap and am just now getting back around to work on some of my stash of Projects that came with orders.  This is a "Star Book" project and uses papers from the "County Fair" kit that was issued prior to 2007.  I haven't put a special pic or theme on the cover page as yet, as I haven't decided just what pics I want to display in this.

Back on the Blog Trail

Decided it was time to get back at posting the "Crafts and Adventures of the Enn's"  After all it's been a year.

I'm still doing all the Get Well cards and Sympathy cards for the residents, and family of residents, at the 55+ Community that we live in.  I have a need to 5 cards to take to our Monday morning Coffee Gathering tomorrow and figured I'd share them with you.

I'm also in the process of giving my Craft room a "makeover" and pulled out a lot of papers from Club Scrap.  Most of the stamps are from Club Scrap also, with embellishment from my huge stash.  I also, in keeping with my favorite style of stamping, did a lot of the "distressed" techniques I've learned along the last 10 years since I started doing this fun art of making cards, etc.

I now teach Crochet and Knit at a local Michael's store and hope to start adding some of the projects we've been working on, as well as some more fun Paper projects.

Thanks for looking and I have made a promise to myself to start keeping this blog up.

Making Cards again

I've had some gals in our Mobile Home (55+ community) park ask for some card making classes.  We did some Christmas cards in November and now we'll do some Valentine Cards next week.  These are a couple of the cards I've come up with.
This card consist of paper from a Recollections paper Pack, the sentiment is from Club Scrap and the Heart Stamp is from Firecracker Designs (since closed, but I have some great stamps from that company).

This was made with a Kraft paper for the Card Base, Black paper, Chalk markers and a technique from the Club Scrap Blog .  Stamped image from an older Club Scrap kit.  Stamped with Zing white embossing powder and the heart filled in with Red Chalk.

Will be making one more Valentine Card in the class, once I come up with how I want to make it.

I also had to get some Get Well cards made for our Coffee gathering this morning, for everyone to sign and send to those needing some get well cheering up.

This card was made using the pattern idea for an "Overalls Card" from Technique Junkies "Shape It" CD.  I used a Kraft prefolded card base and typed out the sentiment and cut up.  All papers and brads from my stash.
Masculine Get well using the Tim Holtz die, greeting and green papers from Club Scrap, Striped paper from stash.
Last two cards for some gals needing a little bit of cheer.  Papers are all from stash, stamps used on the top card from Club Scrap and used the "Triple Stamping" Technique from Splitcoast Stampers.  I just used some different measurement to get the square.  Bottom card uses papers from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad, and I typed up the message and used a Spellbinders die for the sentiment.

Thanks for looking.  I'll update again soon.

Merry Christmas

I have been doing a few Christmas cards lately and thought I'd share a few with you.

This first one uses a stamp from Club Scrap that I embossed with gold embossing powder.  Added ornaments from a 6x6 paper pad from "My Mind's Eye", and layered on misc papers from my Club Scrap stash.  The "Peace on Earth" greeting is from Club Scrap.

This 2nd card is a Herringbone Technique using strips from the "My Mind's Eye" pad and then topped it with a die cut tree - adding some stickles, etc.

This 3rd card is fun to make and it the "Circle Stips" technique from the latest Technique Junkies newsletter.  I used papers from the "My Minds Eye" 6x6 paper pad, greeting from Club Scrap and fiber from stash.

Thanks for looking and I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas.

Some more Sympathy Cards.

I also had to make a couple more Sympathy cards that will be passed around at Coffee tomorrow for friends to sign.

This first one shows the cover and the inside - I used papers from Club Scrap Great Outdoor and images from a special Sympathy set, and stamps from Just Dandy - all from Club Scrap

This card used papers from Versailles kit and the tag was a cut out greeting from the same kit.  This is also from Club Scrap

This 3rd card features a leaf stamp from Natural Resources, backgrond  stamp and greeting  from another kit

This last card features a Tree Stamp from Great Outdoors, greetings and paper from Club Scrap.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my cards.  They were fun to make - even though they are for sad occasions.
