"Try That Technique Thursday"

It's time for the weekly "Try That Technique" Challenge that I've been doing with Beth Norman.  This week we chose the "Mosaic Magic" from the August 2006 Newsletter.  This is my card - I chose these bright spring-like colors and hope you enjoy.  All of my papers are from Clubscrap and the greeting stamp is also from Club Scrap.  This is a fun technique and I may do some more in the near future.
Be sure to hop over to Beth's blog to see here version of the technique....she chose a really pretty background and a great image.
If you would like more information on how to do this fun and easy technique, or want to  know more about becoming a "Junkie" check out Pat Huntoon's site.

Thank you - I hope you enjoyed this card and would love to see you become a "junkie" :)

Cards from the last week of Club Scrap's PSL

I'm just going to post a few of the last week's worth of cards for the Club Scrap PSL event - for me it was 8 weeks of making cards - 222 total.  I had a great deal of fun and will have a lot of cards to use for birthdays, etc plus I am sending some to the "Cards for Heros"  program.  I hope you enjoy these.
All papers, etc from Club Scrap.

2 New Easter Cards

I've been doing the "card of the day " sor Michael Strong's yahoo group and there are the last 2 cards I posted.  I hope you enjoy them.  This card uses the Michael Strong "Pot" stamp, strips cut from paper for the stems, flower punches topped with some cute little egg buttons that I found on close out table at a Quilt Shop that was closing out going out of business 3 years ago while in Colorado.  All the papers are from Club Scrap.
This card I made using the "Mosaic Magic" technique from Technique Junkies - August 2006 newsletter, and used the Spring Cameo stamp from Michael Strong.  All paper from Club Scrap.
Thanks for looking and I really enjoy your comments :)

Thursday's "Try That Technique" Challenge

Beth Norman from Sunflowers & Dragonflies and I have been doing a weekly challenge using techniques from Technique Junkies.  Last week we started using techniques from the older newsletters.  This week we have chosen the "Geometric Overlay" from the April/May 2005 issue.  I chose flowers stamps from a sheet I purchased a couple of years ago at Michaels, papers and greeting stamp are from Club Scrap.
If you are a technique junkie subscriber, you need to hop over to the Design Junkie blog and link your card to Mr. Linky for your chance to win a week with your card posted on the TJ Yahoo Group home page.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to jump over to Beth's blog at Sunflower & Dragonflies to see what she created.

I chose a technique from Tricia Morris at Club Scrap this week for some cards to be added to the PSL.

Hope you enjoy these

Weekly Challenge being added to Technique Junkies Blog

Beth Norman and I have been doing a one on one challenge with each other the past few weeks.  We have decided to start using some of the "older techniques" and  Pat Huntoon has picked up on this weekly challenge of ours.  She is making a great offer for non members or members that don't have the older newsletters:    I'm going to direct quote what Pat has said on her blog (I don't want to make any errors it this)

"Starting this week, we will be posting the "Try That Technique" challenge to this blog, and asking you to post your creation to the Technique Junkie egroup. This is just for fun...stretch yourself, and remind yourself about all those great techniques from the past!

Don't have the issue in question? No worries! Every time we post a challenge, I will put the issues from the year it comes from on sale for HALF PRICE!* That is right! Instead of $18.00, you will be able to purchase the entire year that the technique is from for only $9.00 (plus actual postage). That way, EVERYONE can play!"

Check out Pat's blog at http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com/   and be sure to come back to my blog each Wednesday to see what the weekly challenge will be.

Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you all again soon.
