Cards from the past few days

I did manage to make up a few more cards and a gift card holder.  These 2 cards are made with Old World Christmas papers from 2008 Club Scrap Kit, the snowflakes are from this year's Joyful kit.

This card uses papers from Old World Christmas kit from Club Scrap (08) and the stamp is from an 06 kit called Groovy Christmas.  I didn't like it once I stamped it, so I took it and spritzed with water, crumpled and then used some distress inks from Ranger to make it look "aged".

This is the gift card holder card I made using the "Petite 4" Technique from the lastest issue of Technique Junkies newsletter.  Papers are miscellaneous papers in my stash and the JOY stamp is from Club Scrap's 2009 Joyful kit.  I made a gift card holder with the red paper and taped to the inside center of the card.

I will probably be making more of the gift card holders tomorrow.
Thanks

What I'm up To

I've been taking a short break from making cards.  Hoping to finish up some last minute things on the Christmas Cards I've been working on and get them mailed out.  I've also been rearranging some of my crafting area in our motorhome, if you don't think that's a challenge........let me know and you can come help me :-)  Those that know me, will agree that I'm not afraid of a challenge.
We are spending this winter in Arizona and the last few days have been a bit chilly, but my family and friends in Minnesota and Kansas have it a lot worse than we do here.  At least we aren't in Northern Mountains area of Arizona.  We had some nasty high winds and lo 50's for highs the past couple of days.  The sun did come out today and the wind was very calm, but temps still below normal.

For some of you that are my crafting friends, Beth is having giving away some great "blog candy" over on her site.  If you want to check it out.  Go over to Nana's Memories & More  - listed over in the "Blogs I follow area" of my blog on the right hand side to see what she's been up to lately.

Have a great week.
Hugs to all
Diana

Another Christmas Card for today

I used various reds from my stash, ran a couple through my cuttlebug embossing folders and highlighted with white inks.  The candy piece is one of the unmounted stamps in the Joyful Christmas kit that Club Scrap just issued.  I stamped it, embossed and wrapped in saran wrap and some red ribbons.  These cards are fun to do and I'm getting ready to make some more backgrounds for more cards.

More Cards

I'm still trying to get more cards made up for the Craft Sale that will be held next Sat.  Here are some I made using the Herringbone Technique.  All of the papers are from various kits of Club Scrap Papers that I have in my stash.  Flowers are from various companies that I have in my stash.

And some others that I did using my Cuttlebug Embossing Folders and various stamps and papers from my stash.

Another Beautiful Day

We spent yesterday taking a little trip into Mesa.  We took our first little visit into an IKEA store - wow....it's a huge building with a lot of furniture, storage units, food, linens, and much more.  I did get some ideas on how to make something to use in my crafting space in the RV.  We even had lunch at their diner.  Good food, good prices....you need to check it out sometime.  We also had to pick up some stuff at Camping World, checked out the huge Fry's Electronics store, and stopped at Marie Callendars to pick up a pie to bring home.  yum yum.
I got up this morning and made Belgian Waffles, (and not from a mix) in our new waffle maker....they come out nice and fluffy.  Put some strawberries on top with a side of sausage links and had a great start to the day.

I did manage to make this card last night.  Will put in my stash for someone's birthday :-)
All the papers, and supplies are from Club Scrap Common Thread's Kit.  I hope you enjoy.

Good Morning

The sun is shining and the wind seems to have died down.  We are also suppose to start having "normal" temps again for this part of Arizona, but it got down pretty chilly last night.  We actually started up the furnace this morning.

I did finish up 2 more cards last night and thought I'd share.  Both cards have the same embellishment - all papers, and stamps from Club Scrap.  I did use the Petal Pretties technique on the flower on the blue card.  This technique and many more great techniques can be found on Technique Junkies website.

I hope you all have a great day.  I hope to be able to post some new book projects soon.

What a Week

I haven't had much time to update this week with my work schedule.  We did take in a Sprint Car Race in Tucson on Saturday night and I spent a good part of Sunday working on some cards.  I'm attaching the card that I made previously and didn't share, but my brother did get the card and loved it.  I did a birthday card for my 3 yr old Granddaughter - she's a sweetie :-), and finished making 5 Tree cards for a swap that I'm in.  I'm off work now for the next week and plan to get some more "all purpose" cards made, start on my Christmas cards and work on putting pics in a reallyl neat Paper Bag Book that I made last week.  I'll update as soon as I get some more projects done.

The cold front that is coming through the country this week really changed our weather....it got cool and very windy and here in the desert wind=lots of dust, and dust doesn't agree with my sinuses.  I'll be glad when this front is over.

This is the front and the inside of the Tree Card I made for a swap.  All of the papers and stamps are from Club Scrap.  The quote on the inside of the card is one that I found on Quote Gardens

Next is the Birthday Card I made for my Brother.  The paper and all the stamps, except the motorcycle are also from Club Scrap  and the motorcycle stamp is from Stampin Up.

And now the Birthday card for my little Granddaughter.  All of the papers are from Club Scrap and the embellishments were stamped, colored and cut out (I felt like I was back in Kindergarten) and taped with pop-up dots to add dimension.  Cheryl Ann - I hope you enjoy this card.

I hope to get my photo bag album filled with pics tomorrow, and maybe even get more cards completed.

Hope you all have a great day.

It's a very suuny day around here.....highs suppose to get in the upper 80's to lo 90's today with high's getting up close to 100 by the weekend.  I plan to stay in where it's cool and make cards, etc and I will share as they get completed.

Love to you all

WHERE ARE WE

For those that might want to know where we are right now - as of Sept 28 we are in Arizona City, AZ.  This is our motorhome and how we have things set up at this current time.  The trike is under a cover at the backside of the patio.  If anyone is in the area, let me know and we'll get together for coffee....:-)  We are facing North and have a view of the palm trees and center island in the street in the resort.

Cards I made this weekend

I pulled some card stock from my stash and some general stamps and decided to make these cards yesterday afternoon. All of the paper and stamps are from Club Scrap. I hope you enjoy.
